Buzzcocks: Chapel Hill, North Carolina, October 27, 1991

"Whatever happened to the cow?" The Cat's Cradle has been moved around from place to place over the decades. In its 206 West Franklin Street, Chapel Hill location, The Buzzcocks played on October 27, 1991, which was nifty-fifty for me because I'd just seen them play in Kentish Town, London, that summer. That Cradle was a much smaller venue than the Town & Country Club, with a capacity in the low- to mid-hundreds, 18 years and over only. The latest Cat's Cradle is down the street and over the tracks in Carrboro at 300 East Main Street. Capacity now is about 750 people, with bar area, outside smoking deck (last I was there), and main band-audience space. 206 West Franklin is now the home of a Kildare's Irish Pub.

The Cat's Cradle's nose knows: how round and round it goes. . .
